There was a strike at the Abitibi Power Paper Co. mills at Iroquois Falls some days ago, following the general disagreement between the paâ€" per mills and their employees in the U.S. and Canada regarding the quesiâ€" ion of wages, ete. The Iroquois Falls strike, however, only lasted a few hours as the matter was soon adjustâ€" ed to the satisfaction of all concerned Throughout the district the weather has been oppressively warm during the past several days, but South End peoâ€" ple found a pleasant method of avoidâ€" ing the severity of the weather.
