Bob Dibble, famous oarsman and Canadian sportsman, and a hero of the present war, was a visitor to Timmmins last week in connection with the work of enforcing the Mihtary Service Act. Ptes. Bissonette and Dick Cole came home this week in uniform on a brief last leave. They return to Toronto toâ€" day and expect to leave for Halifax in the course of a few days. Some special interest was created in town last Saturday when a hg dog team and sleigh passed through. The team comprised seven hbig dogs that seemed especially strong and welliâ€" trained. Gold Nugget Rebekah Lodge will meet in the Oddfellow‘s Hall, Timâ€" mins, tomorrow (Thursday) evening at 8 oCcelock, when the inttiation of a number of candidates for memberâ€" ship will take place.
