Dreyer met with a peculiar accident some days ago that may have serious results to the sight of one eye. He had been making shavings with a knife and dropping the open knife on the ground he proâ€" ceeded to split a block of wood with an axe. Striking the block upon the end of the knife handle eaused the knife to fiy up, the blade penetrating Mr. Dreyer‘s eye far enough to stay there.
