Frank McCullough said he was doing some assessment work when he heard a crash and the alarm went off. 'I immediately knew what was happening so I ran towards the front of the store and saw two men helping themselves to some watches and dia- monds." Mr. McCullough said when the men saw him they ran. He chased them outside but they outdistanced him and got away. After returning to the store Mr. McCullough heard a car start and ran out again to see the men getting away. "If I had had a gun I would have shot them," he said. "But that's not like me -- I'm normally a_ very very peaceful man -- I'm glad I didn't have a gun." Value of the goods in the window was about $2,500 but the thieves got little more than a few hundred dollars worth. No arrests have been made as yet but police have a good description of the two men and the car.
