NORTH The COMMUNITY CHEST is interested in facts and one fact is that over 10,000 boys and girls attend various activities at the Boys' Club each month. 3,300 children and adults are taught Water Safety and Swimming skills each week. These instructional classes alone require 2,000 volunteer hours weekly. Boys from 12 to 19 are accepted into Oshawa Navy League Cadets. The training of the boys does not stop at seamanship but carries on to where they learn good citizenship. 100 local boys receive training through the Navy League of Oshawa. Over 30 Volunteers help these boys to become better men.
