For the first five months of 1967, imports were 16.6 per cent higher at $4,539,600,000 and ex- ports up 16.5 per cent at $4,593,- 300,000. The export balance of $53,700,000 compared with $49,- 800,000 at the same time last ear. TCaneéa bought $782,400,000 in goods from the United States in May, an increase of 15.6 per cent from the corresponding to- tal of $676,800,000 a year ear- lier.
