The main event is a re-run of the keen action produced when- ever Green Gaels tangle with the COP's from Toronto Town- ship. These, clubs opened the OLA Junior. season here at the Civic Auditorium with Green Gaels beating out Tor- onto Township, but only after a Stern tussle. Then the two clubs moved right back to Port Credit, where the hor.e- sters evened the count, hand- ing the Green Gaels the only defeat they have suffered in league action, so far this sea- son. TORONTO TOWNSHIP has suffered defeat only once, since they lost that opener here in Oshawa -- they ran into a red-hot team, about two weeks ago when they visited Huntsville, where the Hawks beat the T.T. club. Strangely enough, Oshawa and Toronto Township are technically, still tied for first place in the OLA Junior 'A' schedule race. We say technically, because al- though Green Gaels have only had one defeat and Toronto Township has had two losses expected to further increase the attendance. The first 1,000 ladies through the turnstiles will receive a carnation; the first 1,000 male customers will get a free ticket to Wednes- day night's Senior 'A' game at Maple Leaf Gardens, when Brampton Excelsiors _ visit Toronto Maple Leafs; the Ajax Ladies Marching "Pipe'"' Band will provide entertain- ment between periods; all Oshawa Minor Lacrosse Asso- ciation lads can get a free ticket for this game tonight, from his coach or manager-- and finally -- there'll be 10 "Ju¢ky draw prizes'? --tickets to the first Toronto Leafs- Boston game at Maple Leaf | Gardens, this fall.
