Markle, of Owen Sound, who delighted resi- dents of Hillsdale Manor, Osh- awa, with her piano selections on a number of occasions, died Jan. 19, in the Owen Sound General and Marine Hospital. She was in her 69th year. The former Priscilla Munns, the deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cuth- bert Munns. Born in England, she came to Canada and settled in the Meaford area when seven years of age. She had been a resident of Owen Sound for 44 years. Mrs. Markle is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. William Palmer (Amy) and Mrs. Carl Osborne (Doris) both of Owen Sound. Also surviving are two sis- ters, Mrs. James Gomersall (Florence) and Mrs. Amy Mar- tin, both of Oshawa; 13 grand- children and 12 great-grand- children. Tinker, 69, a former resident of Oshawa, died unex- pectedly Dec. 22 last in Port Charlotte, Florida. The funeral service was held Dec. 24 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Punta Gorda, Florida, with the Rev. H. Ben- ton Ellis officiating. Interment was in Restlawn Memorial Gar- dens. Mr. Tinker is survived by: his wife, Lily; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene-Calabrese (Peggy) of Lombard, Illinois, and two granddaughters, Barbara and Patricia, of Lombard. The deceased was born in Manchester, England. He came to Canada and Oshawa in 1924 and was employed by General Motors for a number of years. He was later a partner in the operation of the Palm Billiard Hall. He left Oshawa about 10 years ago and moved to Chica- go and later to Houston, Texas. He had been a resident of Port Charlotte since his retirement three and a half years ago.
