This centennial New Democratic Party Women fritish Stylists Release Centennial Cook Book Use Gay Colors By MARY WILLIAMS of the Oshawa Times Staff From hamlet, village, town and city they came, from one side of Canada to the other, enough tried and true recipes to fill the Centennial Cook Book compiled and published by the Federal Women's Committee of the New Democratic Party. The cook book, released for sale last week, took two years to complete, under the leader- ship of Miss Eva Latham, Di- rector of Women's Affairs for the New Democratic Party. Letters were sent to every registered member of each rid- ing's women's committee, re- questing recipes. This was fol- lowed up by Miss Latham travelling across Canada, speak- ing to each of the groups. As the recipes were re- ceived, they were tested by qualified professional home economists and dietitians before they were accepted for publica- tion. Recipes in the book appear from every Province with the exception of Newfoundland.
