The report notes that three new pulp mills began operations in 1966--bringing the B.C, total te 17, In addition, six other mills are in "the active plan- ning stage" and four other com- panies have had extra timber reserves allocated for mills, necessitating expansion of ex- isting. facilities. STOCK MARKET TORONTO (CP) --Western oils Wednesday continued their |da upward surge on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The oil index climbed 1,30 to 134.25. Dome, which jumped 3% Mon- day but fell 1% Tuesday in profit-taking, added 2% ai a 1966 high of 39%. There have been rumors that the company encountered gas and oil on its Zama Lake property in north- western .Alberta, Earlier Dome had dropped to 36%. Banff, which also has hold- ings in the area, gained % to 18. Union Oil slipped 1 to 33 and Canadian Superior % to 31% after touching 30%.
