All money raised through. these projects' was given to ~-- the Crippled dren's School in the form of donations, arti- cles for the school, and sup- port of a cub pack. One of the members of the auxiliary, Mrs. Kenneth Ostler, helped form the cub pack and is now the Akela. Last Febru- ary the auxiliary catered for a father and son banquet for the cubs at the Boys' Club, Besides financial heip, two members do volunteer work at the school for one-half day each week, The largest project of the year, the Snowflake bazaar, was held last Thursday in St. Gregory's Auditorium. Cedardale UCW Provides Catering Cedardale United Church Wo- men is composed. of a group of women who meet on the second Wednesday of each month. Their activities include a spring tea and sale of work, catering for wedding receptions, fall bazaar, packing at least two boxes of overseas relief, as well as hospital visitation and help: img to look after the Tuck Shop at Hillsdale Manor, Mothers' Day church service is conducted entirely by women. The speaker this year was Mrs. Lloyd Courtice and a mothers' choir provided the music. The members are also responsible for decorating the church on Thanksgiving Sunday. At the meetings a different member is appointed each month to conduct the devotion- al period, giving each member an opportunity to take part in the service. This group is especially inter- ested in missions and keeps up a correspondence with Miss Muriel Bamford in Banswara, India -- sending her gifts of money each year. A substantial sum is turned over to the Offic- ial Board each year for current expenses, There are 17 members on the roll and new members are al- ways welcomed.
