By Successful Reducers In Oshawa And District TOPS Clubs By MARY WILLIAMS of The Times Staff A glimmer of hope for an answer to their problem ap- peared on the horizon this week for over 450 Oshawa and dis- trict women, members of ten TOPS Clubs in the area, The answer they await lies in the 'research program made possible by the $250,000 grant their parent club, TOPS Club Incorporated, Milwaukee, Wis- consin, made to the Evangelical Deaconess Hospital in Mil- waukee, for accelerated investi- gation and treatment of meta- bolic problems. The founder and president of TOPS Club, Mrs. Esther Manz, presented the cheque at a press conference at the hospital, to the Reverend R. A. Wagner, the administrator, to study the "Enigma of Obesity'.
