Chance To Talk Landscaping Welcomed By Garden Centre Rundle Garden Centre Ltd. had its beginning as A W. Landscaping. In 1945, after the war, Albert Rundle started his landscaping and. maintenance business. It grew continually, and in 1949 he built a Garden Centre to serve the people who enjoyed doing their own garden- ing. They could buy nursery stock, fertilizer, tools, and other garden supplies. In order to eupply his customers with the best in nursery stock, he started growing.his own on his nursery, which he still maintains north of Bowmanville. As time went on, the number of different lines increased and | it became more widely known as A. W. Rundle Garden Centre. The garden equipment sales and service shop also came into being. You could now by iawn mowers, rototillers, chain saws and garden tractors, as well as having any equipment, old or mew serviced or repaired. Business continued to grow and in 1963, Mr. Rundle formed a limited company, taking | in Bill Human, Jim Kamstra, and Lynda Rundle. This is how it is today, with the garden centre, the garden equipment sales and service, and the landscape de- partment. Rundle's spokesmen say they are looking forward to the Home Show. It will give an opportunity to talk to people about their homes and to show. them the type of landscaping that can be done by qualified people. "We are very pleased with the way that everything has been run this far and we are sure that the show will be a tremendous success. Oshawa has needed something like this for a long time and we are | proud to be a part of it," they | said. | PAY COMES BACK AVONMOUTH, England cit Dock worker Fred Hulcoop was counting his wages when more |than £10 in bills was sucked into a grain - loading vacuum pipe.
