HAWLEY In failing health for some jtime, Herbert Edward Hawley, 1084 Hortop Ave., died early) today at the Oshawa General Hospital. He was in his 8ist |year. A son of the late |Mrs. Alonzo Hawley, the de- }ceased was born in Whitby, | Aug. 1, 1886 and came to Osh- }awa from Whitby 57 years ago. An. employee of General Motors for 47 years, prior to his retirement in 1955, Mr. Hawley then worked at the Oshawa General Hospital for six years until he retired in 1963. A member of Northminster United Church, he was also a member of Local 222, UAW and | of the Canadian Order of Fores- jters. He received his 50-year | jewel from the local lodge. | Mr. Hawley is survived by |his wife, the former Florence |May Mann, whom he married Sept. 21, 1910, in Toronto; a daughter, Mrs. George Perkin Mr. and | (Madeline) and a son, Edward, both of Oshawa.
