The highlight of the week was a Visit of the New Demo- cratic Party's federal leader, T. C. Douglas and: Mrs. Doug- las, who were accompanied by Oshawa's regional organizer, Bill Cumpsty. In his address to the women, Mr. Douglas noted that the cost of living has gone up four per cent in a 12-month period. Wages and increases in the main have not kept pace with the cost of living and produc- tivity and prices could go down, Miss Eva Lotham, federal women's organizer, expressed her desire to see more such workshops as this held in the future.
