Beat constantly, add vanilla and vinegar. Cover a baking sheet with waxed paper. 'With back of spoon shape the mer- ingue like. a small pie shell with a heavy edge. Bake in slow oven (250 degrees) 50 to 60 minutes. Carefully remove mer- ingues from paper while still hot. Let cool (do not refriger- ate) and fill. (Makes 6 four- inch meringues).
