Seven-gogi.peryformances by Brian Thompson and Ross Jones paved the way for Gaels and it makes you wonder just who is going to stop this current club. It cer- tainly looks as if none of the clubs in this league is capable of beating coach Jim Bishop's crew. There was some talk earlier. that Toronto Township, with a big jump in condi- tion, could do the job but it was found wanting when put to the test. GAELS DON'T HAVE a game until next Monday, _.whan_St... Catharines. is here,. but,..unlike..the--majerity--of teams, they won't be idle. Bishop will have them working out steadily, and it's amazing how he can keep the team "up", game after game. You'd expect them to get stale with very few tough games, but such is not the case. While Gaels appear a sure thing for first place, that's an inter- esting battle going on for fourth, with five clubs in the running, St.. Catharines, Hastings, Huntsville, Brampton and Long Branch. WHILE GAYLORD POWLESS continues to make a shambles of the scoring race, along with Ross Jones, To- ronto Township is stirring up a bit of. a storm over the assists being doled out to Jim Paterson in Hastings.
