CAIN DETROIT (AP) -- Several hundred U.S. auto production workers have been laid off and hundreds more face unemploy- ment because General Motors Corp. is cutting production for the first time in five years. "IT am far from satisfied with Many coroner's investigations into these sudden and unex- pected deaths.' In another speech, a St. Cath- arines coroner asked legal pro- tection for family physicians so - they can release information on physically or mentally defective drivers to licensing authorities. Coroner Dr. R. B. Penton said this would help reduce the acci- dent toll. In a later address, Dr. Cot- nam told the coroners the hal- ucinatory drug LSD is potent enough to put a "whole city out of action for hours," if two pourids were dropped in the wa- ter supply. He urged the coroners to think of LSD when investigating motor accidents, homicides and suicides. "It also should be considered in bizarre deaths," he said.
