The province's traffic toll included four dead in a@ head-on collision near Cobourg. In. the Atlantic provinces, Newfoundland reported no acci- dental deaths while Prince Ed- ward Island reported one road death and a fire victim. Nova Scotia had two road deaths and New Brunswick two highway deaths and a drowning. On the Prairies, Manitoba had four traffic deaths and a girl killed when she fell from a horse; Saskatchewan one road death, and Alberta two traffic victims. British Columbia reported eight accidental deaths--three each by drowning and in traffic and one each in a fire and a hunting mishap. The survey does not include known suicides, slayings, nat- ural or industrial deaths.
