CELEBRATE SILVER WEDDING Mr. And Mrs. Joseph Zubkavich Honored At Dinner And Dance Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zubka- vich, Huron street, were the honored guests at a dinner and dance held in the St. John's hall, Bloor street east, recent- ly, arranged by their friends, on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Zubkavich, the former Wilhelmina Sass, and daughter of Mrs. John Sass, Chatham, Ontario, and Joseph Zubkavich, born in Cornwall, Ontario, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Zubka- vich, were united in marriage in the St. Andrew's United Chirch, Chatham, in Septem- ber, 1940 and have resided in Oshawa ever since. Upon arriving at the hall, the couple were greeted at the -door by their parents, with the 'Ukrainian traditional greeting of bread and salt, and were resented with a corsage and Costonniere by their daughters, Joan, Mrs. Ronald Smith, and Whemen 10 THE OSHAWA TIMES, Mondey, September 27, 1965 Mr. and Mrs. Zubkavich pre- sided at a table centered with a double tiered wedding cake, silver candles and a bouquet of 25 red roses. A brief congratulatory speech was made by the master of cere- monies, Mr. John Stezik and on behalf of all the guests were presented with'a small silver gift and a sum of money.
