H. RAMSEY Last week, in our first lesson on hindrances to Christian growth, we considered the sins which spring up from within ourselves. Today we will be ex- amining those forces from with- out which exert pressure upon the Christian in his spiritual war to attain and maintain the victorious life of the soul, A Christian life is not easy. It involves a constant struggle against the diabolical, strong enemies who would keep us from fellowship with God in Christ and from eternal life and salvation. In such a battle, Christians must be stouthearted and cour- ageous, in addition to being well protected and armed : "strong in the Lord" and wear- ing His armor. The "armor" of which the Apostle speaks is composed of the Christian graces, given to us by God to use and live by in the struggle for spiritual life. | God gives us this armor, it is up to us to put it on, Should we neglect this defense, we alone are to blame, for we Jack) mi which Paul calls truth.
