BA THE OSHAWA TIMES, Thursdey, August 26, 1965 Boundaries Are Announced For Elementary RC Pupils The following up-to-date boun- dary list for the city's elemen- tary separate school children 'was prepared by the admini- stration staff of the Oshawa Sep- arate School Board; St. Christepher's -- bounded on the east by Oshawa Creek; on the south to include the south side of John st.; the north side of Elm Grove ave., and the - north side of Cartier ave.;. the west by the city limits; north by the city limits. St, Joseph's -- bounded on the west by Oshawa Creek; the south by the north side of Ross- land rd., from the Oshawa Creek to the city limits east; on the east by the city limits; the north by the city limits, St. Gregory's -- bounded on the west by the Oshawa Creek --- commencing at the south side of Rossland rd. and contin- uing south to a point where the creek meets Adelaide ave, then continuing west to Park rd, and then south on Park rd. to in- clude the north side of King st. Bounded on the south to include More Science Will Be Taught WHITBY (Staff) -- Nineteen new teachers will be moving into Whitby District high schools this term with further increase in some educational facilities and opportunities also reported. Both Henry st. and Anderson st. high schools will provide biology and physic courses for Grade 13 students, a new facet of instruction for the schools. In addition, Anderson high school will increase its commercial de- partment, providing electric typ- ing; increased office practice and secretarial laboratory stud- ies, The latter improvement however, depends on the speed in which a proposed addition is completed the additional facili- ties being located in a new wing. Although Henry st. high school's enrollment is not ex- pected to increase much over last year's total of 490 students, Anderson high is expecting an inflated population totalling be- tween 850 and 860. Last year the enrollment was only 770. NEW ADDITIONS Leading the way in new addi-| tions to the faculty, Anderson | will have eleven new members on its staff. The teachers and the courses they will teach are as follows: E. H. Armstrong, boy's physical education and English; F. J. Bergeron, gen- e science and _ chemistry; Keith Hooper, carpentry;. Yvan Laniel, French language; Misses Carol Blackburn, girl's| § geography | RAs physical education, and history; Patricia Bradford, girl's physical education and English; Mrs. Joyce Chalmers, typing, office and business prac- tice; Mrs. Margaret Manktelow, Shramm, English and cook- keeping; Mr. J. R, Musselman, biology; and, Donald H. Tilk, drafting. Henry . st. high school will have eight new teachers join its staff. The teachers and their subjects to be taught are: Mrs. D. Gillespie, mathematics; Mrs. Hester Warne, English and library; Stanley Ireland, sci- ence: John Hewitt, science; Ro ald Newell, typing and geo- graphy; Arnold Tate, mathe- matics; Robert van der Mullen, mathematics and; Lawrence White, boy's physical education . and health.
