It was suggested the display, designed to publicize the work being done by the authority in Whitby, East Whitby and Dar- lington Townships, might include three pahels setting forth the aims of the authority and show- ing pictures of authority pro- jects. It is also planned to disiribute conservation litera- ture at the fairs. SPEAKERS SUGGESTED The board also suggested that an effort be made to have jspeakers address home and school, women's institute and othr group meetings through- out the area stressing the bene- fits of conservation. Plans Display At Fairs Authority area is planned for mid-October. In addition to members of the authority, members of all mu- nicipal councils in the area will be invited to participate. It was announcee that 50,000 trees were planted during the sping. The authority now had 295 acres of reforested land. A student, who has been doing flood plain work, is expected to complete his work in three weeks. NEW BROCHURES It was also recommended that new brochures, 'citing the work being done by the authority, be prepared and that a sign be erected in front of the author- ity office.
