Blair, Russell McNeil, Adolphe Knapp and T, H, Campbell. H. MILTON BATEMAN The death of a prominent member of the Orange Order, H. Milton Bateman, occurred suddenly Tuesday at the fam- ily residence, 241 Clarke st. He was in his 77th year. Mr. Bateman was a native of Thurlow Township, near Belle- ville, and was the son of the late James and Laura Bate- man. In 1910 he married the .|former Ethel Lanora Munns in Belleville. | Mrs. Bateman predeceased} her husband in 1962, Mr. Bateman was a former employee of Fittings Lid., as a pattern maker. He was a past-master, 1911, \of the Belleville Orange Lodge; a past-master of the Orange Lodge, No. 2167, of Oshawa; a past-preceptory of the Black Institution, RRBP 763; a past-| county master for Ontario Coun-| ty South, A past-master of the LTB Association, No. 493; a past-| corimander of the Royal Scar-) let Chapter; a past-president of the Ulster Flute Band; an hon-| orary member of Oakley LOBA| and a member of Victoria LOBA, No. 583. Mr. Bateman was chairman of the Orange Temple trustees) building. committee at the time of his death. He was one of the original members who con-| structed the Orange Temple on Bruce st.
