Mrs. Dellan Lycett was elect- ed president of the Valleyview Park Association at its Janu- ary meeting held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lons- berry on Thursday evening. Other officers elected were: vice-president, Mrs. John Krbyla; secretary, Mrs. Ken- neth Pooler; treasurer, Mrs. Bruce Lonsberry; press report- er, Mrs. Mervin White; card \ convener, Mrs. W. K. Manuel. Mrs. Chris Mason presided for the election. Plans were made for a pro- gressive euchre party to be held in the Clubhouse at the 'end of January. ST. GREGORY'S CPTA Miss Helen Cronin, a retired Public Health Nurse for the city of Toronto was the guest speaker at the January meet- »ing of St. Gregory's Catholic Parent Teacher Association. Miss Cronin was introduced by Sister Agnes Teresa and thank- ed by Mrs. George Mamelka. Several thank you notes were read and announcements made. The teacher's atendance prize was won by Miss Germanis' 'Grade 3 and 4. The meeting . was convened by Mrs. Margar- et Allan. CHRIST CHURCH MERRY MATES The Merry Mates Club of Christ Church held their month- ly meeting Saturday night. The . presidents, Mr. and Mrs. Stan- ley Lawrence, presided over a brief business meeting during which plans for the year's ac- tivities were announced to the members. A car pool was ar- ranged to transport the mem- bers to the Tam O'Shanter Golf, Curling and Skating Club and a night of skating followed by a isecretary, made a plea for names to fill the offices of the presbyterial executive. A donation was made to Glen- holme Sheltered workshop for the printing of the programs for the third annual meeting of the Oshawa Presbyterial to be held F.|at Simcoe Street United Church, Thursday, February 11 when the Reverend T.
