Wayne Cashman. was the leader, but he got help from Bobby Orr, Chris Hayes, Ron Buchanan, Billy Little and Bob Marshall. Then the other lads, includ- ing those from the Junior "B" . -- to fling their bod- every red shirted St. Coibastas's warrior, and this slowed the visitors 'down. Ian Young steadied .away and came up with a real solid effort in the nets, and when the smoke had all cleared the Generals skated the ice, with two valuable points and a lot of admirers for their de- termination AS HOCKEY GOES it wasn't White Aces Surprise In Biddy Basketball White Aces upset league lead- ing Blue Bombers in a Biddy Basketball League game at the Simcoe Hall Boys' Club last Saturday. In thes games, Green Devils downed Purple Hawks 8-4 and Red Trotters defeated Gold Kings 9-6. WHITE ACES TRIUMPH The second place White Aces handed Blue Bombers their first defeat of the season with a fine display of checking and passing. Robert Dervent paced the win- ners with four points. Frank Davis, Larry Wiggins and Paul 'Thompson. shared. two each. Tom Horruzey, who leads the league with 51 points, notched all of Bombers' markers. GREEN DEVILS WIN . The contest between Green Deviis and Purple Hawks was between two evenly matched|5P® teams, who put on a great dis- play of teamwork with a half-|S¢° time score of 4-4. Bob Lipa had four points for Green Devils, while Danny Kew- ley and Alex Krawec fired two apiece.
