An exhibition of work created by those attending the centre will be displayed to the pub- lic. The centre plans to hold a bazaar as well during the ex- hibition, there, will be available for the public. Cross Centre is Simcoe street south. --Oshawa Trinidad Life Is Described BLACKSTOCK (TC) -- Mrs. Ali Khan gave an interesting talk on the life and customs of Trinidad at the meeting of the Dorcas Group. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Fred Dayes with eight mem- bers and two visitors in attend- ance; Mrs, Khan who, with her two older children, had spent seven weeks in Trinidad, wore a sari and displayed four others as well as articles of clothing, jewellery and souyenirs of the island. During the social hour she played recordings of the music of Trinidad. Mrs. Blake Gunter was host- ess for the meeting of the Can- dace Unit. Mrs. Romeril presid- ed and showed a film strip. The December meeting will be held at the home of Mrs, Gor- don Strong. Mrs. Roy Taylor was hostess for the meeting of the Anna Unit. Mrs. Samells conducted the meeting. Mrs. Ernest Swain conducted the worship, Mrs. Romeri!l summarized the study chapters and led a discussion. Mrs. Lorne Thompson will be the hostess for the next meet- ing. Mrs. Richard Van Camp was hostess to the meéting of the Esther Group. Mrs. John Car- |neghan showed pictures of her trip to Trinidad.
