Open Library 2 Extra Hours MRS, KEN. GAMSBY Correspondent ORONO -- The Orono Library Board has decided to open the library an extra two hours a week for the exchange of books. The extra hours will be from 6.30 to 8.30 every Tuesday evening. 'The board is extending the hours on a trial basis and fait! that opening in the evening would allow working patrons to avail themselves of the service being provided. It was also sug- gested that possibly people could use the library more for reference purposes during the open hours, Mrs. Reid will be in charge of the library on Tues- day evenings. The treasurer's report reveal- ed that another $300. is avail- able for the purchase of books. The book committee was au- thorized to purchase more books amounting in value from $300. to $400. It was decided to purchase some children's books recom mended by Mr. Paxton, princi- pal of the Orono Public School Stanley lLazarski, 63, 765 Alfred crescent, Kingston, died following a heart attack Satur- day morning while driving to- wards Toronto on Highway 401. Mr. Lazarski suffered the at- tack near the Harwood avenue interchange, at Ajax. His auto veered across the median and travelled about 50 feet on the eastbound lane before veering ting a guard rail. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Oshawa General fiuspital. Mrs. Lazarski, who accompanied her husband, was not injured.
