After grace led by Brow- nie Catherine Simpson and God Save the Queen played by Mrs, John Pearce, 65 guests sat down to a delicious supper prepared by the Brownies, Guides and the Guiders to honor their mo- thers. The 3rd Guide Company served as a good: | Brownies had made little needle eases for all the guests. Patrol Leader Beverly Hainer Introduced the guests at the Guides' table and Mrs. John Gaskell, Commissioner of Kings- way District; Mrs. Avery Wis- kin, captain; Mrs. Thomas Dal- ey, captain of 13th Company; Miss Judith Britten, Lieutenant; and her mother, Mrs. Fred Brit- ten; and Mrs. Leonard Hurren, president of the Parents Com- mittee. A toast to the Guide move- ment was proposed by Patrol Leader Gertrude Gillard, and nicely responded to by the Lieu- tenant. A toast to the mothers was by Brownie Debby Conlin and Mrs, Hurren res-| ponded. A vote of thanks was given by Guide Susan Atkinson to the Guides of the 3rd Company. Mrs. Gaskell spoke briefly with an inspiring talk on Guid- ing and the need of the mothers' support. After the tables. were cleared Guides put on a short skit ' turn. 'The| Go; called "Susie Knotless" under the leadership of the Lieutenant. The Brownies formed a Fairy Ring and Commissioner Mrs: by the Brown Owl to Brownies earning them. All the Brownies participated in a square dance and a sing song led by Air Ranger Sally yne. Thanks were extended to the sentation of the new ties to the Pack and Company. The Guides then presented an amusing day at Camp. At the camp fire, Elizabeth Tremnal was enrolled as a guide of the Fifth Oshawa Com- pany. Badges were presented to Guides earning them. Guide Beverly Laroque pre- sented the flowers from the Gaskell presented Mré. Goyne with her Brown Owl's warrant and pin.
