The solo in this piece was performed by Lynn Barclay. The choir accompani- ments were ably. played by Mr. Thomas Park. Those taking part in the recital were as follows: Paula Seed, Susan Barclay, Susan Ramshaw, Judy Webster, Marc Seed, Henry Bartosik, Jacque- line Muzik, Christine Lapyniak, Pamela Martin, Gail Walmsley, Joanne Bordage, Carol Stewart, Lynda . The .evening ended with a most beautiful bouquet of red roses being presented to Mrs. Drygala by Lynn Barclay on be- half of all the performers, Fr. J. McNamara Is Breakfast Speaker At St. Mary's CWL The Reverend Joseph Mc- Namara, SPM of the Scarbor- ough Foreign Mission Society addressed the members of the Catholic Women's League of St. Mary of the People at a communion breakfast held by them at the Sandalwood restau- rant recently. Mrs. Kenneth Johnson, spiritual convener and breakfast chairman introduced Father McNamara and he was thanked by Mrs. William Edwards. The league members attended| nine o'clock mass and received holy communion in a body, honoring the feast day of their patroness, Our Lady of Good Counsel. Mrs. Max Coleman, president of the CWL of St. Mary of the People welcomed the members and guests. The Reverend Norbet Gignac, spir- itual director and pastor, paid a brief visit to express his personal good wishes and thanks to the league. Other cistinguished guests from out of town were: Mrs. Gregory Carter, Whitby, who brought greetings from Ontario County South Region of the CWL and Miss Verda Packer, Pickering, regional spiritual convener of Ontario South Council. The three vice-presi- dents of St. Mary of the People Council,' Mrs. Ronald Gibbs, Mrs. Leonard Weeks and Mrs. Rudy Nagel were also head table guests. Mrs. Basil Hirth, an ardent worker since the in- ception of the parish was in charge of the guest book. , Mrs. Wilbert Clarke was the happy recipient of 'the special floral arrangement in the League colors.
