It's been fun to watch the struggles of the students from the other schools, who are still in the middle of exams. The only trouble is that we're get- ting our marks back already. Well, that's life. Part of the fun and games Jast week was the trip to the COSSA basketball champion- ships in Belleville. The cheering from the Central supporters was the loudest per person of any school, I think. Our cheerlead- ers did a good job and out- shone the other schools. I's sure the players are gratefu for their support. Thanks go} to the Donevan people who help- ed support us, too. I just ho the Donevan girls realize that Jim isn't the only players on the Centra] team. FRIDAY 13th All Centralites are in for a thrill this week, when the an- nual GAA dance comes up on Friday, the 13th (gulp!) This is one of: the prettiest dances of the year. The decora- tions and stuff like that will be on the theme of a southern cot- ton plantation, and it will be called "Cotillion". 'Miss Central will be chosen and crowned during the dance. Myself being a nonconformist, I am going to assert my own in- dividuality, I don't plan to write what it was suggested that I write in these 'Articles from Ajax High", My reason for this is that most material-that might interest, for example, a student in Oshawa (news such as sports) could be found in those articles done by other Oshawa students, As for material that would only interest a student from my fine school, this can be found in "C'est Nous'? and "'Soundoff'"" -- and I wouldn't want to cheat them of business! Therefore, I believe it is rea- sonable that I occasionally, re- peat, occasionally -- vary from the normal parth of. 'reporting'. However, I will always keep things related to the schools of this area. FOR POETS Being a poet, I am naturally interested in + communicating with others of my own kind.
