'There will be a Communion}, Breakfast March 8, 12 o'clock Mass, On March 21 an evening of 10-pin bowling has been planned for members, their husbands and friends at the Motor City Bowling at 8.30 p.m. After the bowling refreshments will be served at the Parish Hall. KING, STREET UCW (Friendship Unit) Members of the Friendship Unit of King Street United Church Women met recently in the ladies' lounge for their regu- lar meeting. , The unit leader, Mrs, L. G. Glover, presided and opened the meeting with the reading of a poem "See It Through". The devotional service, with the theme "Elizabeth the Hum- * ble', was under the leadership of Mrs. R. L. Mowers. The scripture was read by Mrs. W. D. Lackie, the meditation by Mrs. Harold Pascoe, and the reading by Mrs. Frank Sprack- ett. Mrs. R. H, Davi: reported on home calls, and Mrs. W. D. Lackie o: flowers and cards sent to sick members. The Fellowship Unit of King Street UCW are to be guests at the April meeting. Plans were made for the St. Patrick's night of cards, to be held March 12, in Centennial 'ence Millson. Hall, under the sponsorship of the Friendship Unit. Mrs. C. C. Baxter is convener for this event, he members were reminded of UCW events, particularly of the needs for the bazaar being held next November, Refreshments were served by Mrs. R. L. Mowers and her group, during the social hour. GRACE LUTHERAN GUILD There was a good attendance at the regular meeting of the Women's Guild which was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Hartwig.
