This band, composed of about 30 men, rendered a variety of musical mumbers, popular songs, a Latin American piece, the "Symphony No. 6" by Tchaikovsky, a vocal selection from the opera 'Car- men", and a medley of songs from "South Pacific'. Everyone is looking forward to a return performance, On Wednesday, Feb. 12, about $@ Grade 12 and 13 students, wnder the supervision of Mrs. Amyot, visited York University in Toronto. The students were told what subjects and courses were available at York. They at- tended two lectures -- one on child pyschology, the other on geography. Then, three first year York university. students conducted a tour of the campus, visiting the Art Gallery, the Leslie Frost Library and the student residence. This trip gave the pupils some > insight into campus life. SPORTS By ANN HENSTOCK Tuesday, Feb. 11 the Henry High girls basketball teams played host to Clarke. The junior teams played the first game, Henry won 29-15. Jocy Bryant netted 10 points for the winners. Marg Hare scored eight, and Lorra Pritch- ard chipped in with seven. In the senior game the Henry game was again victorious, as the senior girls topped their Clark counterparts 35-14. Maur- een Liddle was high scorer for Henry with 14 points. Marg Weaver was close behing with 10. The guards displayed excel- lent defensive tactics and ball- handling in this game. If the girls can maintain their winning streak, they will partici- pate in the COSSA finals Feb. 29. It is possible that the finals will be held in the Henry gym this season.
