WILLIAM HAMLYN One 'of Oshawa's oldest life- time residents, Mrs. William Hamlyn, died at her home, 512 Simcoe street south, Wednes- day, Jan. 29, in her 98rd year. She'had been in failing health for the past year, Born in Oshawa, she was the former Jessie Ann Johnston, a daughter of the late Samuel and Jean Johnston. Mrs. Hamlyn was a member of Albert Street United Church. She was predeceased by ~~ husband, William Hamlyn, in 1939. Mrs. Hamlyn is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George Greer (Lillian), and three sons, Norman H., Nelson J., and Douglas H., all of Oshawa. There are five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, John Johnston, of Lindsay. Mrs. Hamlyn was predeceased by a son, Ruben E. Hamlyn.
