Born in Pantynonl Aug. 20. 1801, the deceased had been a resident of Oshawa for the past 40 years. He was employed for 18 years on the General Motors truck line and was a former member of United Auto Work- ers, Local 222. Ill health forced his retirement in 1941, The deceased was the son of the late Cecelia and William Bowins of Pontypool. He is survived by his wife, the former Eliza Jane Martin; daughter, Mrs. Tom Neal (Velma), Oshawa; a son, Ross Bowins, Oshawa and a brother, Melvin Bowins, Bethany.
