HONEY, OTTAWA -- This report written as the 26th session o Canada's Parliament moves into its last hours: To conclude the work before us in order to pro rogue before Christmas, has necessitated Parliament sitting for long hours each day in the past two weeks Ry Committee work has beer very arduous as each Commit tee has attempted to finalize its proceeding in order to report to the House before proroguatior When Parliament opened this morning (Dec. 20) I had the privilege of presenting the Re port of the Standing Committee on Agriculture which I have the honor to chair It is difficult for an amateur correspondent such as myself to describe the feeling of satis- faction and accomplishment ex perienced by a Chairman upon the finalization of a Committee * Report Committees are composed of members of all parties and to condense the Report into a final form which is acceptable to all parties is not the easiest of tasks Committee Reports are settled by in-camera meetings of the Committee. Not only is the press excluded but the administrative staff of the Committee are ab sent from the meeting.
