Nobody could tell me anything. My husband was 22 and had a college de- gree. I was_ beautiful and sweet and he didn't think it was important for me to stay in high school and get my di- ploma. Why should I have to know anything? He would take ( care of me for the rest of my ' life! So, my heavy-hearted fa- ther walked me down the. aisle and I was married at 17. We had three children in six -lyears. I devoted myself to my family. My husband went to night school and got a master's degree in business administra- tion.. Strange that he appre- ciated the value of education for himself--but not for me. Five weeks ago my husband dropped dead of a heart attack grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wilson and Mr, and Mrs. Duncan McNevin, all of Oshawa, --Ireland Studio UNITS, GROUPS AUXILIARIES 8TH SCOUT GROUP AUX. It is the habit of certain employees to help themselves to the news- paper which prints your. col- umn, They take it into the cafe- teria and read for about 10 min- utes before the work day be- gins, When they put the paper back, it usually has doughnut grease, bread crumbs or cof- fee 'stains on it. Poor chumps (like me) who pay have to read a crumpled, pawed-over paper. It would not upset me so if these people were destitute and) couldn't afford the few pennies. | But as is usually the case, the ones. who have the most money are the cheapest. I am writing in the hope that you will print my letter so the people involved will see how petty this practice looks. to oth- ers.--PAYING CUSTOMER Dear Customer: There will al- ways be people who want some-| thing for nothing. Thark you. -- JAS- PER Dear Jasper: There's « rea- son for everything. The fi that you don't know the reason doesn't mean there is none. The boy who got a clop in the chops may or may not have done a little something to earn it. If he was absolutely innocent then the girl is an erratic, im- puisive loon.
