These two classy softball clubs go at it again tonight, ht seven-thirty o'clock, in the fourth game of the 3-out-of-5 Bvity and District Association's: classic, If the "'Bad Boys" home up with a Thursday-night special, the fifth and deciding "kame for the 1963 crown, will be played on Saturday after- oon. Heffering's and Bad Boys each had six hits last night but in this one, the boys from Gasoline Alley made better use fot their blows -- especially O'Reilly's two-run homer, in the ottom of the 9th, that ended the 2-2 deadlock and the game. 4 x x x x 4 NHL GOALIES grabbed off a major share of the limelight iast night. We read that Johnston stopped.19 of 20 shots in the qfirst period of the Boston-Chicago game, however the Black @Hawks still came out on top in that one. While ordie Howe sat on the sidelines, nursing an injured foot (he suffered a/four-stitch ankle cut, in practice, earlier this teweek) the N.Y. Rangers blanked the Red Wings 3-0 and, ac- cording to reports, Jacques Plante was sensational in earning Phis shutout. We watched the Leafs and Canadiens in their wtorrid tussle in Montreal, via TV, and the work of veteran Johnny Bower and almost-as-old "Gump" Worsley was "'or- pi -- that one is our own coinage; supposed to mean "out { #of this world."" Bower saved his mates time-and-again during those frequent sessions when the screams and urgings of the g@Montreal faithful had inspired the Canadiens to super efforts. At the other end of the rink, Worsley was equally brilliant or 'more-so, on those frequent sorties by goal-hungry Toronto for- wards who were flying at top speed all night. x x x ¥ SPORT SHORTS: ~-- Frank Tunney, Toronto boxing pro- moter, is trying to line up George Chuvalo for a bout next Month, at Maple Leaf Gardens, if a suitable opponent can be Pound. +» DETROIT LIONS will likely be sold to Wm.
