(CP) -- Opening nights at the Strat. ford Shakespearean Festival are tinged with just a little sadness for Inge Schmidt. They represent the comple- tion of the season for the quiet- spoken wardrobe co-ordinator, Her work is done when the play begins, When the production of Ti- mon of. Athens was unveiled late in July, Miss Schmidt had completed her second season at the Camadian theatre and had been working for nearly five months. Her task began in February when there were huge snow. drifts around the summer thea- tré. When the designs for cos- tumes were ready, she helped with the selection of fabrics, making sure enough was or- dered. Most of the fabrics are bought in Toronto but some are from Montreal and the festival pur- chases as much as possible in Stratford. Once the materials have been selected, bought, dyed and fitted the work of the wardrobe co-ordinator is done. Maintenance of costumes is a jov for the technical staff which keeps them cleaned and -re- paired. Miss Schmidt becam inter- Waugh announce the her hometown of Chico, Calif. WORRIED ABOUT YOUR JOB?
