Ambulance Delayed By Slow Freight NORTH BAY (CP)--An ambu- lance driver said Friday that he was held up for 10 minutes by a slow-moving freight train while taking a heart attack victim to hospital and when he arrived at hospital the victim was dead. Driver Ken Rose said in an interview he sounded his siren when he reached the Canadian Pacific Railway crossing at Golf Street Thursday night. He also waved his hand to the attend- ant in the train's overhead look- out to have the train "broken" to let the ambulance through. Mr. Rose said: "I estimate I was at the crossing 10 min- utes." Fire Chief Norman C. Ed- munds of West Ferris was giv- ing oxygen to A. F. (Gus) Maves, during the trip to St. Joseph's General Hospital. "There was a switch engine nearby which might have been used to break the train," Ed- : munds said.
