Eight rinks were entered from the home club, with To- fironto Granites, Peterborough, Whitby, Scarboro, Richmond Hill, Peterborough Golf, Avon- lea, Tam - Heather, Uxbridge, Barrie and Oshawa Golf Clubs rounding out the balance of the entries. Top winner in the day's play was The Oshawa Curling Club entry of D. Williams, J. Souch, D. Balsdon and Jean Crawford, skip, who compiled a total of 46 points for their three wins. Tied after six ends in their crucial third game, they scored two big ends in the 7th and 8th to grab off the top honors. Runners-up were H. Pipher, M. Paton, M. Ashkanase and 'Peg' Austin, skip, of Richmond Hill, who won their three games in the 9.00 o'clock draw and scored a total of 44 points.
