EDGAR CROXALL, Executor, By his solicitors, McGIBBON & BASTEDO, Barristers & Solicitors, 20 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa, Ontario Experts Examine New Labor Chief: By ROD CURRIE LONDON (CP)--The political experts have turned amateur psychiatrists. The man on the couch is Harold Wilson. The problem: To penetrate to the true heart and mind of the man who, at 46, has become the youngest chief of the British Labor party since it was founded in 1900. His political enemies say he's schiophrenic, a split personal- ity; that beneath the solid, smil. ing exterior there lives a man who is devious, calculating, al- vere looking out for Number ne, Even his pipe, they say, is part of the pose. And his ac- cent, a mixture of homespun Yorkshire and upper-class Ox- ford, is part of the scheme to be all things to all people. But the amateur Psychiatrists} ° are kinder. Tday, pondering his election Thursday night, they seem ready--almost eager--to give Wilson the benefit of the doubt. HE'S BEER MAN Wilson says he loves his pipe because it helps him relax. It is not a pose but fact, he insists, that he prefers beer to cham. paign and tinned salmon to smoked. Those who dislike him say he has, the mind of a calculating machine, But, also, it is this capacity that reminded him, de- spite the tension of waiting for the election results, to send Mrs. Wilson a Valentine mes- sage. Mary Wilson--he calls her Sweetie Pie--wasn't surprised. He never forgets a date, she says. : His wit and devastating scorn are famous and often MPs from both sides of the House make it a point to be in their.place when he is scheduled to speak. But occasionally it gets out of hand, is reduced to outright nastiness, and Wilson seems genuinely surprised when he realizes he is-the only man in the House with a smile on hig face. FOUND FORMULA? All observers seem to agree that Wilson may have found his own cure for whatever charac: ter deficiencies there may be. The prescription: Success. Until Thursday night he had been a man fighting his way up, and suffering painful setbacks in the process, He once was defeated by the late Hugh Gaitskell, the man he now succeeds, for the party leadership. Last November he was rejected when George Brown, whom he defeated Thursday, won the race for the post of deputy leader. Many feel now that he is on top, leader of the party and with a good chance of becoming Brit- ain's next prime minister, he will relax a_ little, becoming more outgoing and devote him, self to living down some of the labels he has picked up. Fifth Bomb Plant. Report In Windsor WINDSOR, Ont. (CP) -- fifth report 'of a planted te. within six weeks was received Sunday night by the sports edi- tor of the Windsor Star. Mr. Fathers relayed the mes- sage to school officials who called police. Detectives inves- tigated the call and reported they found no bomb. Threats have been received to date at four other schools, several during classes or basketball games. A fake bomb was found after the first téle- phoned threat.
