Highlight of the year would seem to be the decision of the N. E. Sweet Co. to locate its new plant in the Base Line in- dustrial area. Council's decision to service this area indicates the interest and enthusiasm prevailing in re- spect to. the promotion of Bow- manville's industrial possibili- ties, Every effort has been made and will continue to be made in future. A new 1,000 gallon per day sewage treatment plant was anew and went into opera- ion, ROADS In 1962 the roads and streets department laid five and six- tenths miles of pavement, which has left very little unpaved road- way in the town. There were 134 building per- mits issued during the year totalling $785,831.75. These in- cluded 112 residential permits MAYOR HOBBS our industrial expansion pro-|' gram.
