BARCLAY WARREN Naming the baby is always important. Often prospective parents choose names before the birth of the child. Events at the time of birth or a little later, often influence the final choice. Jacob was really a "heel-grasper"' and Moses was "drawn from the water." When Gabriel told the virgin Mary that the Holy Ghost would come upon her and she would have a son, he said, "Thou .. . shalt call his name Jesus." in a dream explain- t Mary's conception was Holy Ghost. Of the son born he said, "Thou his name Jesus; for shall save his people from their sins." So on the eighth day when the Baby Boy was circumcised, name was called Jesus. . At this Christmas season our attention is often drawn to the star, the stable and the shep- herds. Le us specially remem- Joseph, to whom Mary was engaged, was troubled when he ber why the Babe was called saved. One day, at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow. The word 'savior' is used in many settings. In a sense, Joan of Arc was a savior to her country. A star player may 'lsave the day for his team. A "Irich uncle may save someone from bankruptcy. But only Jesus can save from sin. That's why His name is above every name. Sin is a problem com- mon to all. Jesus is the one who can take care of it. If we forsake our sins and commit ourselves in faith to' Him, He will forgive our past and give us power to live a new life in His praise. He will purify our hearts and dwell in us by His Holy Spirit. Remember this Christmas Season that Jesus is a Won- Jesus. There is no other name derful Savior. Rev. Frank H.
