It was announced that there would be a study course to be held on Thursday, October 25 in To- ronto, It was decided to send delegates. In the absence of Mrs. Ronald Elismore, the treasurer's report was given by Mrs. Gordon Varnum. The con- veners' reports were given. to Mr. Ross Goodman of 4th Oshawa Scouts for assisting Mr. William Clement at Scout Camp this summer, Euchre reports were given by Mrs. G. N. CUM ALL UNIT The Cum All Unit of Cour- tice United Church met at the home of Mrs, Edward Warbur- ton, Sept. 24, with eight mem- bers present. Mrs, Lloyd Cour- tice presided and opened with the UCW theme. Minutes were read by Mrs. Norman Gibson with the treasurer's report by Mrs. Jerry Estabrooks. COUPLES CLUB The Couples Club of Centre Street United Church held its first meeting of the fall season at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Dearborn on Saturday evening. Games were enjoyed and prizes won by Mr, and Mrs. Archie Button, Mrs. Howard Canning, Mrs. Leonard Weeks, Mr. William Doggerel and Rev. W. G. Dickson. The next meeting will be a progressive supper on Saturday, November 3. CHEERFUL GIVERS The Cheerful Givers Unit (No. 7) of King Street United Church Women met recently for the September meeting. : Mrs. Clarence Scott, the lead- er.presided, Mrs. Bunner spoke on membership and asked for volunteers to get members.
