Orono Orphans Win | On Big Rally In 6th Orono Orphans defeated Osh- awa Lakeshores 6-2, last night in Orono Town Park, in their first game of their 2-out-of-3 OBA Intermediate "A"' playoff series. Second game will be played here at Kinsmen Civic Memorial Stadium, on Thurs- day evening, 7.30 o'clock. Kelly Lane pitched the win for Orono and although he was tagged for seven hits, the same number as yielded by Tom Mal- colm, the Oshawa hurler, the homesters made better use of their safeties, mainly due to three Oshawa errors. The Orono club gave Lane perfect support. Ron West singled to open the first inning for Orono and Don Mercer also singled.
