In the year ending June 30, the United Kingdom imported 163,352,000 bushels from all countries, of which 986,991,000 came from Canada. West Germany was second, importing 105,990,000 bushels, but was third behind Japan in imports from Canada at 43,752,- 000. Japan imported 45,255,000. There was no total shown Thursday in the International Wheat Council report for im- ports by Red China, a prime market last year for Canadian grain. Canada was shown as the greatest exporter with 220,935,- 000 bushels for 38.24 per cent of the market, ahead of the United States which exported 154,340,000.
