The company formed a horse- shoe by candlelight and the fol- lowing badges were presented: Class Inez Pretty, Terry Parkin; Cooks -- Bonnie Snyder, Susan Pretty, Patti An- drews; Pioneer and Knitter -- Jacqueline Menzie; Athlete -- Frances Sparkes, Janice Roe; First Class -- Susan Pankhurst. Cookie Day Prizes were awarded to Jo-Anne Bowler, Lyn Kilpatrick, Jo-Ann Webster and Cathy Keeler. The Captain called on Mrs. B. E. Pankhurst and Mrs. J. S. Menzie who tied the All-Around Cord on the arm of their daugh- ter, Susan and Jacqueline re- spectively. Miss Patsy 'Jacklin present- ed gifts from the guides to Miss Margaret Blears, Lieutenant, in honor of her forthcoming mar- jerton, ra 'mock wed-| Mrs. present. A sing along was led by Susan Taylor and was followed by a| very enjoyable lunch served by the Orchid Patrol. Two special cakes, one honoring the All- Round Cord girls and one hon- oring the Lieutenant were given by the Parent's Committee. The evening closed with the singing of Taps. Mis Mrs. in book} 5 W Foresters Hold Charity Dance At Oshawa Airport A capacity crowd attended the annual benefit dance held recently by the Canadian Order of Foresters Kingsway District Council, in aid of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children's As- sociation. This annual event was not only sponsored by the Kings- way District Council but local merchants donated prizes which enabled all proceeds to go to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children's Association. Russ Young and his orchestra donated their time and talent to assist this worthy cause as well as the Ontario Flying Club. Spot dances, "Paul Jones', climaxed by a Twist contest kept the dancers on the floor in a jovial mood. During intermis- sion a sing-song was held and everyone present enjoyed '"'Sing- Along" with Russ Young and his orchestra.
