Retiring president Matt Sut- ton, who conducted the meeting as chairman, in his remarks, thanked the turnout of mem- bers and in particular voiced his appreciation to all the com- mittee chairman and club mem- bers who had contributed to the successful operation of the past season. Secretary - treasurer Jack Judge presented his financial report for the previous season, which was highlighted by a re- spectable balance, in- spite of the heavy expenditures of last year, which included installa- tion of new machinery and a complete set of new pipes, as ewll as major improvements to the walls and building structure. Bill Minett presented The Robt. Dixon Memorial Trophy to Hal Butler, skip, and his rink, winners of this club com- petition. J. L. "Lew" Beaton presented The Ernie Parsons Tophy to Father J. C. Pereyma and his rink, winners of this event and Gordon Hare presented The Geo. W. Me- Laughlin Memorial Trophy to Bert Granik, skip, and his rink, winners of the third club com- petition of the regular season. In each case, the skip accepted and made a suitable reply on behalf of his rink. Membership committee chair- man Bill Jack, in his report, pointed out that the club's total membership consisted of 459 active members, with 47 'so- cial' members, three honorary members and one Intermedi- ate.
