On Friday evening, December 15, nearly two hundred rela- tives, friends and neighbors gathered at Ebenezer United Church. Mr. Charles Osborne acted as chairman and Miss Jayne Gay and Mr. Rick Gay escorted their grandparents to seats of honor and presented their grandmother with a cor- sage and their grandfather with a boutonniere A short program followed. Mr. Dennis Gay, a nephew, played a piano solo. Mrs. George Annis sang and Miss Evelyn Gay gave several short readings. Miss Hazel Rundle sang two suitable selections and a quartet com- posed of Mr, Jack Bickle, Mr. Elmer Downs, Mr. Murray Osborne and Mr. Raymond Osborne contributed two selec- tions, one with special words for the occasion Mrs. Ross Pearce then made a presentation speech which covered the honored couple's lives from young people to the present day and Mr. Wilfred Brown and Mr. Eber Snowden presenetd them with a beautiful chesterfield.
